When you’re single, you realize the beauty of a relationship. You see the cute couples holding hands and sharing kisses when they think no one else is looking, you witness the spark in their eyes when they look at each other. You imagine yourself in their situation, falling asleep beside someone every night and waking up beside them every morning, you think of taking care of them and just being held by them. You see every positive aspect possible. But when you’re in a relationship, you see all the happy singles running around flirting with everyone in sight and having a great time doing it. You imagine what it would be like to not have to answer to anyone, to be able to live freely and do as you please. You think of how much fun you could have talking to someone new every week, chasing the butterflies and living on the edge of heartbreak. You see every positive aspect possible. How often are we satisfied with what we have? How often do we sit back and think of how lucky we are to have what we do? When are we going to stop wishing we were in someone else’s shoes and start enjoying our own?
have you ever read something that killed you inside?
like a text message or someone’s status. everything was going fine until you accidentally came across something you didn’t want to read. or found out something you were better off not knowing. it’s almost as if it was posted just to purposely hurt you. but you constantly read it over and over again to torture yourself. it’s horrible how one little thing can ruin your whole day.
“Love is when you can’t be apart from someone for too long…you’re always thinking of them, and when you’re with them you never want to say goodbye. Love is far from simple. It’s quite complex. It’s a mix of about everything. It’s sadness, joy, passion, hatred, excitement, it’s almost every feeling you can imagine and more. You know love when you find it, it’s that person that when they smile it brightens up your day, you can’t stop staring at them for fear of losing them, they’re always on your mind, you daydream of being with them, even if they’re less than 20 feet away…and you can’t stand it when they’re not with you, the worst feeling you could ever feel is when you know that person you love is not with you…you can’t tell when love will happen, you just know when it does, that moment when you first lay eyes on that person, and you never want to look away…that is love. Nothing less.”—Unknown (via atomos)
